According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The Smart heister is a device developed to facilitate slow and smooth JaW movements, which enhance the stretching of OMF muscles, mandibular function and rehabilitation. The innovation of this invention is that it can be controlled remotely during motion without causing stress. The automation of the system can regulate opening velocity; force limits, hold time, and peak force, enabling reproducible and graded loading, which is difficult to achieve with manual devices. The smart technology protects and prevents overloading of the temporomandibular joint, teeth, or mandible and maxilla compared with variable stacked depressors, which are important in care and accessibility of head and neck oncology rehabilitation. It also supports the safety of early-phase rehabilitation when patient tolerance is limited. Choosing automatic technology ensures less user effort without discomfort. in sensitive cases, and automated dosing can help achieve earlier functional gains ' especially during disability than the manual jaw stretching device. It benefits the patient's safety, comfort and overall wellbeing of the rehabilitation. By merging research, innovation, and sustainable engineering, the Smart Heister supports responsible consumption and production while contributing to modem industrial infrastructure and economic growth in healthcare technology."
