MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541111336 A) filed by Peri Institute Of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Nov. 14, 2025, for 'smart gas stove timer system with automated sim and off control.'
Inventor(s) include Pranit Asher Abihu A. K; Thirumalaiselvan T; Abdul Rahiman S; Naveen Raj S; Gokulnath M; and Joshua J.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention is an Automatic Gas Stove Timer System that stops users from wasting gas, starting fires, or overcooking food because they forget to turn off the stove while cooking. Regular LPG stoves don't have smart timing or automatic flame-control systems, which makes them very unsafe and wastes a lot of fuel. To fix this issue, the current system includes a small, easy-to-use automation module that can be attached to the gas stove knob and controlled by an Arduino-based mechanism."
