MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641044341 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on April 7, for 'smart ergonomic footwear insert for standing load monitoring in teaching professionals.'

The insert is structured I with distinct heel, midfoot, and foretoot regions that facilitate optimal load distribution during I static standing and minor movements. The invention enables reduction of lower limb fatigue, plantar stress standing strain associated with prolonged standing. The device is non-invasive. discreet, and suitable for continuous occupational use without interfering with natural gait or classroom activity."
