According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The growing demand for electricity and the drawbacks of conventional billing underscore the need for smart energy management. This project introduces a Smart Electricity Billing System with IR pulse detection and automatic relay cut-off to ensure accurate monitoring, prepaid control, and automated power management. Using an IR sensor and microcontroller, it tracks real-time consumption, compares it with prepaid balance, and disconnects supply once the limit is reached. Enhanced with loT recharge, instant alerts, local display, and reliable data storage, the system empowers consumers with transparency and control while helping utilities reduce revenue losses-making it a practical step toward efficient, modern energy management."
