MUMBAI, India, June 16 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611054116 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on April 28, for 'smart electric vehicle charging station systems.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Vani Bhargava; Dr. J. G. Yadav; Stuti Srivastava; and Shatakshi.
The application for the patent was published on June 5, under issue no. 23/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a smart electric vehicle charging station system comprising an input power section, a housing, a microcontroller-based control section disposed within the housing, a plurality of charging output channels, a plurality of current sensing elements associated with the charging output channels, a relay-driven switching section interposed between the input power section and the charging output channels, and a protection section. The housing includes an upper command chamber and a lower switching chamber separated by an insulating barrier plate, the upper chamber accommodating the control section and the lower chamber accommodating switching components and charger branch terminals. A transformer protection bus extends from the input power section toward the lower switching chamber and includes a current shunt and current sensor positioned ahead of the charger branch terminals. The system provides organized power distribution, reliable current monitoring, and safe internal separation of control and switching structures for multi-channel charging environments."
