MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541122855 A) filed by Meenakshi Academy Of Higher Education and Research, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'smart digital id card with integrated mental health monitoring and ai feedback system.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. R. Anitha; and Dr. Thirumal Kumar D.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a smart digital identification card integrated with physiological sensing and AI-enabled analytics for real-time mental health monitoring. The device comprises a laminated card body incorporating an electronic housing cavity that encloses a sensor array, microcontroller, communication circuit, power supply unit, and an indicator element. The sensor array includes a heart rate variability sensor, galvanic skin response sensor, micro-temperature sensor, and an accelerometer configured to collect physiological and behavioral signals through a contact interface pad positioned on the rear surface of the card. The microcontroller digitizes, filters, and preprocesses the acquired signals and transmits encrypted data via NFC, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi transceivers to a paired mobile device for AI-based stress and wellness assessment. A thin-film rechargeable battery, wireless charging coil, and flexible solar strip provide continuous power. The system enables simultaneous identity verification and mental health monitoring while offering real-time alerts through a light or vibration indicator."
