MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102419 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 24, 2025, for 'smart automated cow dung collection and slurry preparation system for efficient biogas production.'

Inventor(s) include Vikas Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a Smart Automated Cow Dung Collection and Slurry Preparation System designed to enhance biogas production efficiency through automation and real-time control. The system comprises a belt conveyor driven by an electric motor, multiple weight sensors, and a NodeMCU microcontroller that regulates the start-stop operation based on dung accumulation. A water pump connected to spray nozzles applies pressurized water to clean the conveyor and simultaneously prepare a uniform cow dung-water slurry during transfer to the biogas plant inlet. This integrated approach minimizes manual labor, ensures hygienic handling, reduces energy consumption, and provides continuous, consistent feeding to the digester, thereby improving the overall productivity and sustainability of biogas generation."
