MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641025190 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on March 3, for 'smart air curtain system and method.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A smart air curtain system (100) encompassed with an air curtain unit (102), positioned above a doorway, automatically activates wen the door opens, creating a barrier between indoor and outdoor airflow. A potentiometer (104), integrated into the door hinge, communicates with the air curtain unit (102) to regulate its operation based on degree of door opening. A scent dispersion unit (106), operating simultaneously to release fragrance into the indoor environment. A control unit (108) and regulatory module (110) process proportional signals from the potentiometer to adjust airflow and scent intensity, while a power management module (112) optimizes energy consumption by selecting appropriate operating modes. To maintain efficiency, a surface clearing section (114) with a wiper removes dust and debris from the system (100). A communication interface (116) coordinates signals among components, and a user interface (118) enables customization of scent, airflow, and mosquito prevention settings for residential or commercial applications."
