MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541121483 A) filed by Nandha Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 4, 2025, for 'smart accident monitoring and alert system using camera.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to the field of intelligent transportation systems (ITS), artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (loT). More particularly, the invention pertains to a real-time accident detection and automated emergency alert system that employs AI-based video analysis in combination with embedded IoT devices to monitor traffic and identify accidents automatically. The system is designed to analyze live video streams from roadside or vehicle-mounted cameras, detect collision events or abnormal motion patterns using advanced AI algorithms, and instantly transmit alerts through loT-based communication modules."
