MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517063358 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on July 3, for 'small data transmission.'
Inventor(s) include Sillanpaa, Anna; Turtinen, Samuli Heikki; Koskinen, Jussi-Pekka; and Godin, Philippe.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus comprising at least one processing core and at least one memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processing core, cause the apparatus, at least to determine that a small data transmission, SDT, procedure is ongoing with a user equipment which is in a radio resource control inactive state, and send assistance information to a control plane entity of a centralized unit of a base station."
