MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517079285 A) filed by Kabushiki Kaisha Riken, Tokyo, on Aug. 21, for 'sliding mechanism.'
Inventor(s) include Iijima Naoki.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This sliding mechanism is a sliding mechanism between a piston and a cylinder inner circumferential surface and is applied to an engine that can automatically stop temporarily. The lubricant of the engine contains an organic molybdenum-based friction modifier. The sliding mechanism has an annular oil ring including a pair of outer circumferential surfaces. Each of the pair of outer circumferential surfaces of the oil ring includes a cross section-shaped curved surface that curves in a shape protruding radially outward. The vertex, i.e., the radial outermost point of the curved surface of the oil ring, is disposed in the center portion of the outer circumferential surface of the oil ring in an axial direction of the oil ring. The curved surface of the oil ring forms an arc surface passing through a pair of points which is positioned with a difference of at least 10 m radially inward together and which are respectively separated by 0.075 mm on both sides in the axial direction of the oil ring from the vertex of the oil ring."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 31, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/003086.
