MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018812 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'sleep assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sleep assistive device includes a U-shaped frame 1 positioned on a fixed surface, a pair of plates 2 connected via a pair of sliding units 3 installed on frame 1 for translation of plates 2, a hinge joint 4 installed between plates 2 to move one of the plates 2, a touch interactive display panel 5 mounted on frame 1 for inputting sleeping mode requirements, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 installed on frame 1 for capturing and processing images of user at all times, a motorized slidable lid 7 connected over apex and front portion of frame 1 to enclose device, a speaker 9 mounted over frame 1 to produce voice signals, an air blower 10 installed with frame 1 for ventilation, a nozzle 11 configured with a receptacle 12 arranged with frame 1 and an Ultra-Violet (UV) lamp 13 installed within frame 1 to sanitize."
