MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018845 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'sitting assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sitting assistive device, comprising a circular frame 1 positioned over a fixed surface a user sit over frame 1, multiple extendable flaps 2 are configured with periphery via a motorized hinge joints 7 to provide support to user, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 monitors posture of user and accordingly hinge joints 7 provide rotation to flaps 2 to provide support to user, a laser measurement sensor determines dimension of user, and flaps 2 extend, a microphone 4 accessed by user if massage therapy is needed, multiple vibration units 5 vibrates for providing massage therapy to user, multiple dolorimeters installed with frame 1 and flaps 2 to determine pain experienced by user, multiple peltier units are installed over frame 1 and flaps 2 to provide heat to area in view of providing relief to user."
