MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641050546 A) filed by Easwari Engineering College; and Srm Institute Of Science And Technology, Ramapuram Campus, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on April 21, for 'site labour surveillance and project management system.'

Inventor(s) include Aravind Raj. B; Deepak. S; Megeshwaran. A; Kaveen. V; and Surendar. M.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In high-risk industrial sectors, manual safety and attendance monitoring is often inefficient and prone to error. This paper proposes an integrated AI system that automates site oversight using real-time computer vision. The workflow follows a multi-stage logic: first, detecting individuals within a video feed; second, verifying the presence of mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as helmets and vests; and third, performing biometric facial recognition. The system ensures immediate accountability by logging safety violations and triggering alerts for non-compliance or unauthorized entry. Simultaneously, it streamlines administration by automatically marking attendance for recognized personnel. All data is synchronized to a central dashboard, providing management with actionable, real-time analytics. This unified approach significantly enhances workplace safety culture and operational transparency, offering a scalable, high-precision solution for modern industrial security and workforce management."
