The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention provides a single-unit multipurpose prosthodontic pen for use in dentistry, particularly in prosthodontics. The device integrates a LeCron carver, a Fahnenstock wax knife, and a wax spatula into a single compact unit with a foldable design, similar to a Swiss Army Knife. Each instrument is pivotally mounted within a central handle and is lockable in open or closed positions. The device enables carving, cutting, shaping, spreading, and carrying of wax during the fabrication of dental prostheses. The invention reduces the need for multiple separate instruments, thereby saving cost, time, and sterilization effort, while improving handiness, portability, ergonomics, and safety in both clinical and laboratory prosthodontics."
