MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517093270 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 29, 2025, for 'single-sided electrode for secondary battery, method for manufacturing same, and electrode assembly and secondary battery comprising same.'
Inventor(s) include Won, Kwangho; and Lee, Jinwuk.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An embodiment of the present invention provides a single-sided electrode for a secondary battery, a method for manufacturing same, an electrode assembly comprising same, and a secondary battery, wherein the single-sided electrode comprises a current collector and an active material layer formed on one surface of the current collector. The active material layer comprises a flat portion having a constant thickness of the active material layer and an inclined portion having a reduced thickness of the active material layer compared to the flat portion. A tape is attached to the other surface of the current collector of the single-sided electrode so as to correspond to the inclined portion."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 29, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/096086.
