MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647036018 A) filed by China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation; and Sinopec Research Institute Of Petroleum Processing Co. Ltd., Beijing, on March 25, for 'single-crystal hollow zsm-5 molecular sieve, and catalyst containing molecular sieve and preparation method therefor and use thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Han, Lei; Lin, Wei; Wang, Peng; Song, Haitao; Zhou, Xiang; Wang, Ruoyu; Sha, Yuchen; and Zhao, Liuzhou.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A single-crystal hollow ZSM-5 molecular sieve, and a catalyst containing the molecular sieve and a preparation method therefor and a use thereof. Particles of the single-crystal hollow ZSM-5 molecular sieve have a single-crystal structure with an average crystal grain size of 0.8-3.5 m, and have an internally and externally nested double-layer cavity structure, wherein an inner cavity is at least partially closed by a first molecular sieve wall layer, an outer cavity is completely closed by a second molecular sieve wall layer, and an epitaxially grown nanorod shell layer is provided on the second molecular sieve wall layer. The single-crystal hollow ZSM-5 molecular sieve can be used for macromolecular catalytic cracking reaction, allowing for a higher low-carbon olefin yield, a higher BTX yield, and a higher ethylene/propylene ratio."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 28, 2024, under International application No.PCT/CN2024/114963.
