MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517085186 A) filed by Longi Green Energy Technology Co. Ltd., Shaanxi, China, on Sept. 8, for 'silicon wafer, cell, cell string, and solar module.'

Inventor(s) include Fu, Nannan; Wang, Yichun; Bai, Xueqi; Jin, Qian; Lu, Ruochen; Fu, Zehua; Chen, Xiaobo; Fan, Jiarui; Ma, Xiaokang; and Xu, Senyang.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application relates to a silicon wafer. The concentration of an antimony element in the silicon wafer is 4E+14 cm-3 to 2E+16 cm-3, preferably 4.30E+14 cm-3 to 1.9E+16 cm-3, and further preferably 4.45E+14 cm-3 to 1.87E+16 cm-3; and the minority carrier lifetime of the silicon wafer is greater than or equal to 200 microseconds, preferably greater than or equal to 300 microseconds, and further preferably greater than or equal to 500 microseconds. The present invention also relates to another silicon wafer, wherein the concentration of an antimony element in the silicon wafer is 4E+14 cm-3 to 2E+16 cm-3, preferably 4.30E+14 cm-3 to 1.9E+16 cm-3, further preferably 4.45E+14 cm-3 to 1.87E+16 cm-3; and the minority carrier lifetime of the silicon wafer is greater than or equal to 300 microseconds, preferably greater than or equal to 400 microseconds, and further preferably greater than or equal to 600 microseconds."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 23, 2024, under International application No.PCT/CN2024/078449.
