MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012462 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'silencer cleaning device for two-wheeler vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A silencer cleaning device for two-wheeler vehicle, comprises of a housing 1 positioned installed with a touch enabled screen 2 to give input commands for cleaning the silencer, a camera 3 for capturing multiple images of the silencer, a robotic arm 4 for unfastening the nut via a wrench 5 equipped with the robotic arm 4 for detaching the silencer from the two-wheeler, a telescopically operated gripper for gripping and placing the silencer on a plate 7 installed with the housing 1 via a set of motorized sliders 15 for translating and positioning the plate 7 along with the silencer within the housing 1, a set of C-shaped members 6 configured on the plate 7 via a set of motorized hinges for tilting the members 6, an electronic nozzle 8 for dispensing the cleaning solution within the silencer, primary bristles 11 for removing carbon depositions from inner walls of silencer."
