MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517075144 A) filed by The Coca-Cola Company, Atlanta, on Aug. 7, for 'siamenoside i sweetened beverages with mogroside blends.'

Inventor(s) include Prakash, Indra; Ma, Gil; Mercogliano, Christopher; Higiro, Juvenal; Jung, Iris, Liaw; Heath, Michelle, Heatherly; and Bechman, Allison.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Diet beverages sweetened with a mogroside blend sweetener comprising siamenoside I with improved sensory attributes are described. Isomogroside V, 11-oxomogroside V, mogroside III, mogroside IIE, mogroside V and mogroside IIIE, when blended with siamenoside I in certain ratios, can be used to reduce bitterness, sweetness linger, bitter linger, metallic taste, and/or astringency, when used to sweeten beverages compared to siamenoside I only sweetened beverages."

The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 30, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/013536.
