MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531020390 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 6, for 'shuttlecock collecting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sankar Narayan Das.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A shuttlecock collecting device comprises of a cuboidal housing 101 having four telescopic rods 102 configured with omnidirectional wheels 103 for a locomotion of the housing 101, plurality of rectangular plates 104 mounted on a sliding unit 105 disposed within the housing 101 for creating partitions to store shuttlecocks of different ages, plurality of telescopic grippers 106 attached with the housing 101 by means of ball and socket joint 107, for fetching shuttlecocks from ground surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 108, installed on the housing 101 to determine location of shuttlecock on ground surface and a usage age of the shuttlecock, an ultrasonic sensor embedded in front of the housing 101 to monitor presence of any obstacle in path of the housing 101, and a speaker provided on the housing 101 to inform user regarding removal of the obstacle."
