MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026184 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 29, 2024, for 'shopping assistive system.'

Inventor(s) include Jasveer Singh Rana; R. K. Jain; Anil Kumar; and Devyani.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A shopping assistive system comprises a cuboidal extendable frame 1 constructed with plurality of plates 2 an extendable U-shaped telescopically operated handle 3 installed with the frame 1 gripped by a user for maneuvering the frame 1 on the ground surface via plurality of omnidirectional wheels 4 installed underneath the frame 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 mounted on the handle 3 for detecting items to be purchased by the user, a GPS installed on the frame 1 for detecting real-time location of the frame 1, a display panel 6 installed with the frame 1 for displays the determined route, a drawer arrangement 7 installed with each of the plates 2 for extending the plates 2, and plurality of crawling wheels 8 installed with the frame 1 via plurality of telescopically operated rods 9 for allowing the user to maneuver the frame 1 on the staircase."
