MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019823 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 5, for 'shoe rubber sole applicator device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A shoe rubber sole applicator device, comprising a cuboidal housing 101 having chamber 102 for storage of pieces of rubber soles and a tank 103 for storage of adhesive, a curved plate 104 mounted on a rigid rod 105 for holding a shoe, an L-shaped telescopic link 106 with a brush 107 and a nozzle dispense and spreads adhesive onto sole of the shoe, a robotic arm 108 to place on the shoe for fixing, a curved flap 109 provided at an end of a pneumatic pusher via a dual-axis lead screw mechanism 110 applies pressure on the rubber piece, a Peltier unit provides heat while applying pressure, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 111 determine shape and dimensions of the shoe, an L-shaped telescopic pole 112, having a motorized cutting wheel 114 trim excess parts of the rubber piece."
