According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a shock load prevention system for a drivetrain of an electric vehicle, comprising a traction motor that drives at least one wheel, a speed sensing unit that senses rotational speed of the at least one wheel to generate a vehicle speed signal, a torque calculation unit that calculates motor torque to generate motor torque data, an actuator that interrupts electrical power supplied to the traction motor for a defined duration upon occurrence of a shock-load event, and a control unit that receives the vehicle speed signal and the motor torque data, determines a rate of change of vehicle speed and a rate of change of motor torque, detects the shock-load event based on evaluation against at least one speed threshold and at least one torque threshold, and controls interruption and restoration of electrical power following the defined duration."
