MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517096658 A) filed by Bar, Tsvi, Tel Aviv, Israel, on Oct. 7, for 'ship to shore horizontal container transfer systems.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "There is provided herein a container vessel crane for horizontal and vertical relocation of cargo containers on a cargo vessel, the container vessel crane includes a trolly including: a container chamber which includes at least a bottom opening configured to insert the container into the container chamber; a spreader and head block chamber, mounted on top of the container chamber; and a machine room mounted on the spreader and head block chamber; a spreader, and a headblock comprising one or more pulleys and one or more cables; four or more container casting connections atop the machine room configured to facilitate connection by the spreader of the ship-to-shore (STS) crane; one or more cable drums configured to rotate thus to roll or unroll the one or more cables thereby allowing vertical movement (up and down) of the container; and one or more engines coupled to the one or more cable drums."
