MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105620 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 31, 2025, for 'sheet laying assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. S. V. H Nagendra.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sheet laying assistive device, comprising an extendable body 101 configured with a handle 102 accessed by a user to acquire a grip over body 101, a U-shaped frame 103 is attached at free-end of body 101 to accommodate a cylindrical roller 104 wrapped with a protective sheet 105, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 106 installed on body 101 to generate a 3D (three-dimensional) map of surface, a touch interactive display panel 107 installed on body 101 to display map, a holographic projection unit 108 is installed over body 101 to project holographic projections over area, a motorized conical shaped member 109 is integrated in between frame 103 and roller 104 to provide rotational movement to roller 104 to unwrap protective sheet 105 and a motorized cutter 110 is installed over frame 103 via a telescopic rod 111 to extend cutter 110 to perform cutting of protective sheet 105 precisely."
