MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006939 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'sheet bending device.'

Inventor(s) include Ramandeep Singh Deorda; Ravinder Singh; Dheeraj Kumar Gautam; and Gurjesh Singh Chib.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sheet bending device, comprising a housing 1 arranged with a chamber 2 storing metallic sheets, a pair of motorized sliding unit 3 arranged within the housing 1 translating the sheets, a display panel 4 installed on the housing 1 enabling user's input commands, a motorized conveyor 5 arranged within the housing 1 translating the sheets, an imaging unit 6 installed within the housing 1 determining sheet's dimensions, a holographic imaging unit 7 installed within the housing 1 creating guidelines on sheets, a two-axis lead screw arrangement 8 assembled with ceiling portion of the housing 1 and configured with a laser cutting unit 9 translating the cutting unit 9 and a robotic clamp 10 installed within the housing 1 gripping and positioning the sheet for bending in a pair of motorized rollers 11 arranged within the housing 1."
