MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441035192 A) filed by Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited; and Robert Bosch Gmbh, Bangalore, Karnataka, on May 3, 2024, for 'sha3 accelerator for hash-based signature schemes.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Vishal Saraswat; and Dr. Suyash Kandele.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Some embodiments are directed to hash-based signature schemes, in particular SHA2 based. Embodiments include private key generation, public key generation, signature generation, and signature verification. For example, a hash function may be applied to form a pseudo-random function (PRF), taking as input various string, wherein the string starts with an opcode, and e.g., a seed. In an embodiment, at least the start of some of the strings have a common start which has at least the length of one input block and/or at least the length of one word of the hash function."
