MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511104550 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Oct. 29, 2025, for 'server farm cooling system with motorised slats and pivoting fins.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rahul Sharma; Mr. Pankaj Singh; and Tanya Dubey.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cooling slat system (100) for directing airflow in server farms is disclosed. Said system (100) comprises a ceiling frame (102) supporting a slat array (104). Said slat array (104) is driven by an actuator unit (106) including a motor (108) and a gear set (110) to vary openings of said slat array (104). A cooling channel assembly (112) is coupled to said ceiling frame (102) and includes a fin set (114) mounted on a pivot joint (116) and driven by a pneumatic actuator (118) to steer airflow. A hotspot detection module (120) includes a sensor array (122) operatively connected to said actuator unit (106) and said pneumatic actuator (118) to adjust positions of said slat array (104) and said fin set (114). Said system (100) enables targeted airflow delivery, reduces energy consumption, and improves cooling efficiency by dynamically addressing hotspots in server environments."
