MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517050428 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on May 26, for 'sequence and port mapping for dual-functional reference signals.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Aspects presented herein relate to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a wireless device or a network node. The apparatus may receive an indication of a resource allocation for a plurality of resources associated with a set of sensing RS and a set of CSI-RS, where the indication is received from a network node, where the resource allocation maps each resource of the plurality of resources to at least one of a corresponding sensing RS in the set of sensing RS or a corresponding CSI-RS in the set of CSI-RS, where at least one resource of the plurality of resources is mapped to at least one sensing RS in the set of sensing RS and at least one CSI-RS in the set of CSI-RS. The apparatus may also perform at least one sensing operation based on the resource allocation for the plurality of resources."
