Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Separator For Electrochemical Device And Electrochemical Device Comprising Same' Filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd.

MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517100317 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Oct. 16, 2025, for 'separator for electrochemical device and electrochemical device comprising same.'

Inventor(s) include Kim, Hye Won; Sung, In Hyouk; Shin, Jin Young; Yoon, So Young; and Ka, Kyung Ryun.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A separator for an electrochemical device of the present invention comprises: a porous polymer substrate; and a coating layer disposed on at least one surface of the porous polymer substrate and including inorganic particles, wherein the porous polymer substrate has a porosity of about 50-65 vol%, the porous polymer substrate includes a polymer having a melt index of about 0.0001-0.01 g/10 min, and the coating layer has a porosity of about 40-70 vol%."
