MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517090384 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 22, for 'separator for electrochemical device and electrochemical device comprising same.'

Inventor(s) include Kwon, Su Jee; Lee, So Yeong; Bae, Won Sik; and Bak, Byeong Chan.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a separator for an electrochemical device and an electrochemical device comprising same and, particularly, to a separator for an electrochemical device and an electrochemical device comprising same, in which the separator has, on a coating layer, an adhesive layer including a hollow-particle polymer binder, enabling buffering against pressure applied during a lamination process of electrodes and separators and thus preventing damage to a porous polymer substrate and increasing breakdown voltage."
