MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414086338 A) filed by Ngk Insulators, Ltd., Aichi, Japan, on Nov. 9, 2024, for 'sensor element and gas sensor.'
Inventor(s) include Rei Sawa; Junna Takaya; Daiki Shomura; Ryo Hashikawa; Ayaka Sato; and Ozora Kano.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sensor element 101 includes an element body 102 including an oxygen-ion-conductive solid electrolyte layer, a measurement electrode 44 disposed inside the element body 102, and a conducting section 74 connected to the measurement electrode 44 and in which an inner lead 77, a peripheral-face lead 78, and a connector electrode 75a are connected to one another in that order. The peripheral-face lead 78 is gas permeable and the contact area between the peripheral-face lead 78 and the solid electrolyte body of the element body 102 is 1.10 mm2 or smaller."
