According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The rapid expansion of the automobile industry has resulted in a major increase in vehicle density and associated safety challenges. One critical issue that remains largely unaddressed is the presence of blind or dark zones beneath parked vehicles. These concealed spaces are frequently occupied by small animals such as dogs, cats and goats seeking warmth or shelter during different seasons. [0054]Additionally, objects, toys, children, or even adults may remain unnoticed under the chassis, creating a serious risk when the vehicle is started or set in motion.Since modern vehicles-especially electric, CNG and refined petrol or diesel models-produce very low ignition noise, the driver is often unaware of any living being or obstruction resting beneath the vehicle. When the vehicle is moved without verification, it can lead to injury or death of animals, panic among passengers, and potential road accidents. [0055]Such incidents also come under legal concern, as the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, prohibits harm to protected species, and accidental injury may still result in penalties and legal action.The proposed invention introduces an underbody inspection mechanism using a downward-deploying camera unit operated automatically through an actuator system. Upon ignition, the camera assembly extends briefly to scan the underside of the vehicle and subsequently returns to its original position. The system is compatible with conventional vehicles, commercial fleets and autonomous platforms, ensuring improved safety, animal protection and prevention of avoidable accidents."
