Inventor(s) include Yash Amol Bagade; Shubham Vishal Thite; Shreyash Arvind Mali; Shirish Shivaji Kumbhar; Prachi Nalawade; Dr. Vaibhav S. Ganachari; Dr. Shailesh S. Shirguppikar; and Sachin B. Shinde.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Sensor-Adaptive Multifunctional Cleaning Apparatus with Modular Fluid Dispensing System This invention describes a sensor-responsive multifunctional cleaning apparatus is disclosed for hygienic surface maintenance across domestic, industrial, and clinical environments. The apparatus is configured to automatically detect surface contamination conditions and transition between sweeping, scraping, and fluid-assisted cleaning modes without manual intervention. A surface condition detection arrangement classifies dry particulate matter, adhered residues, and liquid contamination, enabling adaptive mechanical response. The system further incorporates a modular application-specific soap dispensing arrangement configured to deploy selected cleaning formulations in controlled quantities. A dual-source water management arrangement permits operation using clean water, filtered graywater, or harvested rainwater, supporting sustainable cleaning practices. An integrated self-sanitizing arrangement conditions active cleaning interfaces following use to mitigate cross-contamination risks. The apparatus further includes adjustable telescopic extension and multi-axis articulation for ergonomic operation across varied surface orientations. The invention provides a unified, resource-efficient, and contamination-controlled cleaning solution reducing tool redundancy and improving operational precision."
