MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517057158 A) filed by Maricap Oy, Vantaa, Finland, on June 13, for 'sensor, method for controlling emptying of a storage space of an input point, and material conveying system.'

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Sensor for observing a presence, location and/or movement of an object, such as waste material (W), in a space of a material conveying pipe (100) or in a temporary storage space (3) of a pneumatic material conveying system, the sensor (S1, S2, S3) comprises means for processing the measurement signal of the sensor (S1, S2, S3), such as measuring electronics, and means for communicating measurement results and/or data relating to measurement results for further processing. The sensor (S1, S2, S3) is a radar-based sensor, such as a frequency-modulated continuous-wave MIMO radar-based sensor, configured to detect objects in the monitored space and to detect the presence, the location and/or movement of an object in the monitored space. The invention relates also to a method and a pneumatic waste conveying system."
