MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641019838 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 20, for 'sensitherm sock.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a rechargeable therapeutic wearable sock configured to provide controlled them1al stimulation and vibratory therapy to the foot and lower limb tor the management of neuropathic pain, sensory disturbances, and circulatory dysfunction. The device integrates heating elements, cooling or phase-change modules, and low-frequency vibration units within a flexible textile sock structure that covers the foot and extends below the knee. A rechargeable control and battery module is positioned on the sock to allow selective activation and regulation of heat, cooling, and vibration modes. The invention offers a non-invasive, portable, and drug-free therapeutic solution particularly suitable for individuals with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, as well as for use in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and home-care settings. The wearable design ensures ease of use, safety, and comfort while enabling regular therapeutic application without professional assistance."
