MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531128557 A) filed by Amity University, Ranchi, Jharkhand, on Dec. 18, 2025, for 'semi-automatic moisture-controlled whiteboard duster cleaning system.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Mayank Srivastava; Dr. Rahul; Kumar Gaurav; Dr. Biresh Kumar; Dr. Divya Srivastava; and Dr. Pravin Singh.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a semi-automatic moisture-controlled whiteboard duster cleaning system, comprising a cuboidal body (201) having a hole (202) at anterior portion designed to mounted on a wall surface in proximity to writing board and the user access the hole (202) for placing an eraser duster (300) utilized for cleaning the board, a moisture detection module (203) configured on the hole (202) for detecting continuous moisture level of duster's foam (301), multiple sprayer (400) installed on hole (202) and coupled with a chamber (401) via conduits (402) for dispensing alcohol-based cleaning solution stored in chamber (401) towards the foam (301) as upon activation of a relay module linked with microcontroller (403) for moisten the foam (301) to maintain moisture level of foam (301) to allow the user to properly clean the board."
