MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541122551 A) filed by Nandha Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'semi-automated pneumatic thermocol cutting machine.'

Inventor(s) include S Magibalan; J Pravesh; V Vinu Varshith; and K Vishaal.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a Semi-Automated Pneumatic Thermocol Compression and Cutting Machine employing two double-acting pneumatic cylinders and manually operated 5/2 directional control valves to compress and break bulk thermocol into smaller reusable pieces. The system integrates a rigid frame, compression plate, and vertically guided blade to provide controlled, uniform cutting while reducing manual effort, worker fatigue, and exposure to thermocol dust. The compact, low-cost, and fully pneumatic design ensures reliable operation without sensors or electronic modules, making the machine suitable for small-scale industries, packaging units, recycling facilities, and educational laboratories. The modular construction allows easy maintenance, future scaling, and efficient handling of thermocol waste, enhancing productivity, safety, and reuse of industrial thermocol."
