MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411029117 A) filed by Schneider Electric India Private Limited, New Delhi, on April 10, 2024, for 'self-locking latch pin with bezel and handle-bezel, handle-cam latch pin assembly with inbuilt poka-yoke.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method of Self-Locking Latch pin in an electronic device, comprising the steps of: inserting the Cam latch pin assembly into the Bezel (1); rotating Cam latch the pin assembly 90-degree anticlockwise direction; wherein inserting the Cam Latch Pin assembly into the Bezel cutout in such a manner that the 90-degree groove cut on the Cam Latch Pin assembly is aligned itself with the 90-degree cut on the Bezel (1) barrier wall and push it inside; and wherein rotating the pin assembly 90-degree anticlockwise direction lock the said pin assembly inside the barrier wall of the Bezel (1) On rotation. In the said method, the in-built Poka-yoke for (a) Assembling Handle into Bezel (1) (b) Assembling Latch pin into Handle, is used to make error free assembly during production."
