MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517061908 A) filed by Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.; and Ati Technologies Ulc, Santa Clara, U.S.A., on June 28, for 'segmented non-contiguous reverse map table.'
Inventor(s) include Kaplan, David; Ilic, Jelena; Raval, Nippon; and Ng, Philip.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A computing device (200) comprises a processor (202), a table walker (230), and a memory (204) storing a segmented reverse map table (242) in multiple non-contiguous portions of the memory. The table walker is configured to translate a virtual memory address specified by a memory access request to a physical memory address associated with the virtual memory address; and provide a requester associated with the memory access request with access to the associated physical memory address in response to an indication at the reverse map table that the requester is authorized to access the associated physical memory address."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 27, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/086045.
