MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641061080 A) filed by Raptee Energy Private Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on May 14, for 'segment-wise adaptive energy budgeting system for extended-range electric vehicle navigation.'
Inventor(s) include Prithvi M Potti.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a computer-implemented method and system (100) for coordinated control of energy utilization in an electric vehicle during navigation. Session inputs are received via a session input collection module (102), and an ordered sequence of route segments is determined by a trip segmentation engine (200). For each route segment, a SoC budget calculation engine (300) computes a segment-wise state-of-charge budget based on a base energy estimate and a composite correction factor. The state-of-charge budget and a corresponding energy-consumption target are provided to a vehicle control unit real-time enforcement module (400), which monitors live energy consumption and modifies vehicle operation to enforce the state-of-charge budget. Upon arrival at a charging waypoint, a charging-stop replanning workflow (500) determines a charge-to target and updates subsequent route segments. A machine learning architecture (600) updates parameters, while a system interface (700) and an edge-case handling module (800) support operation."
