MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311084474 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 11, 2023, for 'seeds sowing assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Amrita Singh; Vinesh Kumari; Aarju; and Rini Saxena.

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A seeds sowing assistive device, comprises of a pair of extendable bodies 1 having a first end gripped by a user, a camera 5 mounted on one of the bodies 1 for capturing multiple images of the user, a touch enabled screen 6 mapped on one of the bodies 1 to give input, a set of motorized omnidirectional wheels 7 configured with the bodies 1 for translating the bodies 1 up-till the user-defined distance, a primary motorized iris lid 8 configured with each of the chambers 4 to open for dispensing the seeds within the bar 2, a pair of motorized sliders 9 configured between the bodies 1 and bar 2 for providing a continuous to-and-fro motion to the bar 2, and a secondary motorized iris lid configured between each of the members 3 and bodies 1 for dispensing the seeds for sowing the seeds."
