MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123731 A) filed by Dayananda Sagar College Of Engineering, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 8, 2025, for 'seed tape machine.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention is a seed sequencing system designed to enhance agricultural efficiency. The system includes hoppers for seeds and fertilizers, mechanisms for arranging seeds linearly, and a moving tape system passing between rollers for precise placement. Adjustable parameters include the number of seeds dispensed per second, tape speed, pitch between seeds, fertilizer quantity, and spacing between seeds and fertilizers. The output roller delivers a seed tape ready for direct planting, ensuring optimal seed and fertilizer placement for enhanced crop yield."
