MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611001998 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Jan. 8, for 'seed sampling device.'
Inventor(s) include Aman Raj; Mansoona Mishra; Kavya Pande; Alapan Dey; and Suhel Mehandi.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a hybrid environmental remediation system (100) that integrates semiconductor-based photocatalytic units (102) with biodegradation modules (104) to remove organic and inorganic pollutants from environmental matrices such as water, air, and soil. The system (100) includes a photocatalytic reactor (106) equipped with UV/visible irradiation sources (108), a microbial bioremediation chamber (110) containing specialized microbial consortia (112), and an adaptive flow-control assembly (114) that sequentially or simultaneously channels contaminated media through both treatment stages. A monitoring and control module (116) optimizes reaction cycles, microbial activity, and photocatalytic efficiency using sensor feedback. The hybrid configuration enhances pollutant mineralization, reduces energy demand, and ensures continuous degradation of complex contaminants that are resistant to single-stage treatment approaches."
