Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Security Processing Method And Device For Relay Communication' Filed by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co. Ltd.

MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517084960 A) filed by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co. Ltd., Beijing, on Sept. 8, for 'security processing method and device for relay communication.'

Inventor(s) include Shang, Zhengyi; and Lu, Wei.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to the technical field of communications, and provides a security processing method and device for relay communication. The method comprises: in a U2U relay communication scenario, for a source UE, a relay UE and a target UE, a first key related to RSC can be determined, and then U2U relay communication can be performed according to the first key. Therefore, an effective security protection solution is provided in U2U relay communication, and the security of U2U relay communication is improved."
