MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611048225 A) filed by GNA University, Phagwara, Punjab, on April 15, for 'security and artifact protection system for a cultural institution.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A security and artifact protection system for a cultural institution, comprising of a biometric-RFID ticketing module to capture biometric identifiers of a visitor, generate a unique visitor profile, and issue an RFID-enabled access credential linked to the captured biometric data, an RFID-biometric access gate assembly to permit entry only upon dual authentication, a LIDAR-based panoramic safety scanning unit 105 to perform non-invasive volumetric scanning of visitors and carried objects, a plurality of exhibition platforms 106 to accommodate an artifact along with detecting displacement, tampering, or instability of the positioned artefact, a glass casing assembly to physically enclose and protect the artifact while permitting visual inspection and controlled access under authorized conditions, and a homent chain barricading arrangement to define a restricted visitor perimeter and prevent unauthorized physical proximity to the artefact."
