MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521105717 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Oct. 31, for 'security and access control system for train cabins.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A security and access control system for train cabins, comprising a door frame 101 constructed with telescopic and extendable segments 102, installed at a train cabin entry point via integrated electromagnetic mounts 120, a laser and optical sensor 103, 104 to detect precise dimensions, contours, and alignment of the cabin entry point, a chain-operated electric door 106 for opening and closing of the cabin entry, a passenger and item scanning arrangement 107 for scanning passenger(s) and carried items, a ticket scanning arrangement 108 for verifying passenger identity and travel credentials, an alert module to notify a train ticket examiner (TTE) or designated authorities, multiple lighting units 109 to provide ambient illumination, a speaker unit 110 with a multilingual translation module for providing real-time passenger instructions and announcements in multiple languages."
