MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311085530 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 14, 2023, for 'secured upi transaction notification alert delivering system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured UPI transaction notification alert delivering system, comprises of a body 1 developed to be positioned inside a shop having UPI (Unified Payments Interface) details of a vendor of the shop, a display panel 3 for displaying UPI details of vendor which is scanned by a user(s) for carrying out a transaction against goods bought from shop, an imaging unit 4 to determine facial features of user(s) present nearby to identify a particular person with facial features matching with fetched photo on panel 3, a speaker 2 for notifying vendor regarding the payment status, a GPS (global positioning system) module for monitoring real time location of body 1."
