MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018192 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 13, 2024, for 'secured tyre locking device for vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured tyre locking device for vehicle, comprising a cuboidal body 1 positioned between two consecutive tyres of a vehicle, an ultrasonic sensor detecting successful placement of body 1 between tyres along with curvature of tyres for actuating a pair of curve shaped extendable plates 3 to extend, a LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) sensor detecting adjusting of plates 3 for actuating a three-link screw arrangement 4 to push plates 3 against tyres in order to prevent rotations of tyres, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 determines pattern of treads crafted on tyres and accordingly microcontroller actuates multiple pneumatic pins 6 to extend for engaging plates 3 with tyres, and a force sensor detecting force exerted by tyres on plates 3 for alerting message to the user's computing unit."
